Game Play
You may want to change the player’s names. To do this, click on the SETUP tab where you can set the name for yourself and for the computer.
While in SETUP you can also change the difficulty of the computer. See the explanation of Easy, Champion, and Life Master.
You can also change from automatic (Default) scoring to manual scoring of the human player’s hand and crib. Note that setup can ONLY be changed BEFORE a game begins.
Click the Save button, then click the GAME button to go back to the game, click Cut for Deal, and begin play.
Follow the yellow buttons to continue playing. The program will score for you. At the end of the game the results will be recorded on the STATS page.
If you reset the Stats page, the stats will be reset to zero and recorded on the Archive page. Any time you reset the Stats page, the Stats will be added to the Archive page.
Training Mode
You cannot turn on Training Mode while a game is in progress. Either finish the game or start a new game via the GAME page. Then you will be able to turn on Training Mode on the Setup page.
Click Save, then go to the GAME page and begin playing. The computer will comment on your discards and play during pegging. When you see EV in the comments, this means Expected Value.
Remember to turn off Training Mode when you’re done, then Save, and go back to regular Game Mode.
Crib Analyzer (Discard Tool)
The computer will analyze any hand for the best discards — it gives you three options with comments.
The format for entering your hand is: Rank (A, 2…K) plus Suit (S, C, H, D). For example:
8H, 6D, KC, AH, 5D, 5S
You can also enter your board position and the computer’s board position. Hit the Analyze button to see the computer’s comments.
There is a Repeat button which lets you keep the same hand and board position, then change whose crib it is and analyze again.
